Surprisingly entertaining and educational in respect to better understanding Maori origins and traditions. The entire family of entertainers and staff presented a lively and interactive experience, one that will truly not easily be forgotten. I would recommend not being concerned with photo taking, but rather enjoy the evening as an experience not to forget. Oh, and the evening's food is uniquely delicious.

I think my rating was a generic and not updated. The experience was amazing. Learning about the culture and history was a once in a lifetime experience. Everyone involved was amazing and you can tell they all cared about sharing their culture.

Beautifully organised from pick-up to drop-off. An awesome introduction into the Maori culture, also with a lot of humour. I'd give it 6 stars if possible. Truly amazing!

What a wonderful experience! The extent of preparation that went into making us all feel like part of a family. I came to New Zealand to learn more about the Maori culture. The ability to interact with the chief and his village by asking questions made the experience so much more meaningful. My 14 year-old twin daughters were able to open up to these people and ask relevant questions. Great food and great entertainment! Be prepared to participate. You don't learn everything there is to know about the Maori, but it is a good start. As an American, it made me incredibly sad that our native people are so separate, and to my knowledge, don't have ceremonies like the Maori to teach others about their culture. Things to know about Tamaki: book through your hotel because they send a bus to come and get you and bring you home. It is expensive, but well worth it. For a family of four, it was about $240 NZ, which wasn't too bad, in my opinion.
