Hotel Doolin, Rivervale, Doolin, Co. Clare, Ireland
Very good buffet-style restaurant. I enjoyed their pasta dish of the day and soup. Prices are a bit steep, but the portions are large and you can get your food very quickly.
Great place for a variety of traditional Irish dishes including seafood chowder with brown bread, Irish stew, and beef with Yorkshire pudding. Service is fast as you can go past the carvery station and pick what you want. Lots of tour buses stop here but they seem able to handle the load :)
Nice cafeteria style restaurant with beautiful interior space. The old wood beams and benches give the feeling that you are in a lodge. There is an outdoor sitting area in the back too. The food is served from a line, so tell the cooks what you want, then grab a pint! I ate the fish and mash and it was greasy, but good.
We are all vegans and this was some of the best vegan food we had on the west coast of Ireland. It's a pity that the soup isn't because our veggie friend said it was the best soup that he has ever had. It is a bit pricey for what it is. The sizes could be bigger. Other than that, a very nice place, with nice staff. Just give bigger portions and add more to the vegan dishes.
Even if they bring you here by all those big tour buses, i guess, you know, what i mean, that place is really good. Food quality, prices and portions surprised me. Recommended.
