There is no entry fee. There was some maintenance work going on around the well, so couldn't see it. The walls having holes of bullets are kept well and intact and are marked so that it can be identified easily. As the maintenance work is in progress and with rain there was lot of mud spreading everywhere. Must visit place if you are visiting Golden Temple.

I've been looking forward to visiting Jallianwala Bagh for many years, a historic and heritage site where innocent people were fired upon and hundreds killed. While I finally made it there, I was quite disappointed since a significant portion of the area has been closed off for maintenance. Upkeep of the holy grounds could be better. A wall with bullet holes is preserved and a monument is erected. I felt that given the significance of this place in our country's struggle for independence and the sacrifices of our forefathers, there should have been a better way to preserve and present this site so that visitors can pay their respects to those that sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

How can one put star rating to such a historic place? Well, the efforts to preserve the history and dark past of this place is great. Current rennovation efforts which are taking place, hope they bring out more to the venue. Entry is free, and informative displays help connect with the history of massacre.

One of the major sites of the Indian struggle for Independence, the Jallianwala Bagh is a monument of National importance. It was here that the British officials opened fire on a rather peaceful Indian crowd including women and children. The garden is spread across an area of 6.5 acres and still contains several bullet marks left by the British.

It is normal park, but very important as it has very moving History. Lots of people were shot here who were having a meeting for freedom of India by British government. You can see the holes of bullet fired on the wall, the well in which people jumped to save themselves from bullet. This is very moving and deeply emotional place to visit. Go and feel the sacrifices given by people for the freedom we Indian enjoy today.
