Went twice, once during day & then in evening a few days later to attend a dance theater performance. The place is modern & angular, housing National Opera & National Library surrounded by the canal & a sprawling park. The views from what is called the lighthouse above Opera House are great! Although not in center of Athens it is easy to get to by tram or bus close to Piraeus port. Besides Acropolis & it’s newer museum this would be another attraction to spend a couple of hours to unwind. Make sure to hit the place when dancing fountains are on (day hours & night hours) & also enjoy the massive park in the concrete jungle that is Athens:)

One of the most extraordinary buildings in Athens. Nice architecture with a lovely canal inside. There is almost everyday a variety of activities to choose such as sailing or kayaking in the canal. Great place for kids also. It’s beautiful around Christmas season as well. You can rent bikes. Free entrance. Definitely a must visit!

It is big, new and made of concrete... But aside from the solar cell roof, not much else is interesting... Garden is boring, interior is sterile... And above all THERE IS NO WHEEL ACCESS to the roof, to the garden... So much money put in, and nobody thought of that. Oh, and no easy/normal access by the public transport! How stupid is that? Trams are completely unaccessible! Station has no pedestrian crossing to the other side of the road, there is a ramp, but not the rest. Take a look at the picture.

Really nice, peaceful place. Lot's of people but enough space to sit in privacy. The lights and the fontines on the music was beautiful, it could be a little bit longer it were two songs. Also romantic when it is dark. I love the place to chill and relax after a day work. You can bring a drink and enjoy with our without company.

Ultra modern building that houses the Opera House and the National Library. From the top there is a nice view. There is also a very nice park with lots of fun for children. There are also music fountains in front of the building, which are very interesting.
