Super nice owners and the food is great but if your not a typical "tour bus tourist" then it's a bit disappointing when you receive the bill. There are many such restaurants in Crete that are not tourists traps (much more economical) but they are hidden gems that require research or local advice. However, if your on a shot holiday then this is a great place to check out.

One word - Adventure! For the stomach and for the soul! Ride to this place is astonishing - the pictures that nature draw all the way up to this hill - green, blue and brown are still Infront of my eyes. And the wizard preparing incredible feast in all sizes pots is insanely good at cooking! Don't eat the day before or you will regret for missed meals :))

Fairly remote beautiful location. Amazing Crete food. Owner provides a verbal menu, of four or five choices. We ordered three of those offered, all of which were great. Worth the ride out here.

Amazing drive up (also great to return via the gorge so you get 2 great drives). Super friendly family and amazing food, could not recommend more. Incredibly welcoming and warm. Whatever is cooking is what you get so don't come making specific demands which I unfortunately saw some rude people do during my visit.
