An excellent family day out at this zoo. We saw almost all the animals but some were hiding and a few enclosures were under repair. It's does costs a fair bit, 72€ for 3 adults. Food and drink on site were lovely.
We stayed overnight at the Beaver Creek lodge (overlooking grizzly bears) and it was by far one of the best experiences of my life. The rooms are amazing, dinner was excellent and the whole thing felt really special on every level. It was good fun to walk around the zoo in the after hours. overall we spent around 24 hours inside and we could stay even longer.
Very hot sunny day, most of the animals asleep /under cover.went to Polar Bear show twice - bear didn't appear assume asleep!! Suggest don't go on hot sunny day Either take own food or eat before 2pm, catering limited after 2pm!! Good walkways and did see some animals after 5.30-6pm
Do not visit at peak season. The crowds are unbearable. Narrow paths clogged up by people pushing empty pushchairs (being used as replacement trolleys to carry their things?). At low season the zoo would be a good option. Well stocked and well presented. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.
Brilliant as usual. V close to animals, lots of them. You don't have to walk too far. Highlights - birds of prey and sealion display.
