France is definitely a year-round destination, with activities and events happening all year. The shoulder seasons, typically April to June and September to November, are said to the best times to visit due to the pleasant weather, fair prices and smaller crowds. While the weather in winter isn't exactly ideal, it’s still a great time to visit because of the cheap airfare and small crowds. Head to the mountains for a ski getaway or visit some of the lovely Christmas markets throughout the country.
