A Scottish bar in Paris? Get out of here! Best place to grab a scotch anywhere in the heart of Paris! If you're sick of all that fancy French food and wine, this is the place to get down and dirty and drink your neighbor under the table! Plenty of expats and tourists here, in addition to the local crowd. This was a welcome surprise on my walk back to my hotel from the Louvre!

Cool place, very traditional feel. I personally went for the open mic on recommendation of other musicians I met in Paris, and it was good! It's very popular however, and as many other open mics I've attended, knowing the social rules and host does make a difference, as is understandable. I arrived among the first 6 musicians around 19:00, but didn't get to play until around 00:00, make sure you expect to wait and be on top of signing up and verifying your spot! Amazing audience and service in any case, and very friendly and accomodating host for the open mic. It's ben run by the same man for 15 years so do respect the way things are run.
