Place Julia, 29930 Pont-Aven, France
A superb, museum. Always with interesting exhibitions of works from around the region and the Pont Aven school.
A modern and beautiful museum in the heart of Pont Aven with a great selection of Breton art and Brittany inspired artists. The art works are nicely presented. Worth a visit!
A small interesting museum, very informative and recently reopened
Didn't visit the museum as was just passing through on a journey south. Museum looked interesting, modern, with a Gaugin theme. Entry fee charged. The the town is very pretty and colourful with interesting looking places to eat by the river and biscuit/gift shops on the main street. Worth a proper visit when time allows. Good coffee in the central square.
One thing I really liked about this place is how they worked with light. They bring out the best in each painting in this way. The museum is also not too large, so you will be able to savour all of it without feeling tired at the end.
