Vrijdagmarkt 22-23, 2000 Antwerpen, Belgium
Definitely one of its kinds museum. If the world of printing fascinates you and you would love to know about printing and look into the oldest printer, you should not miss it. Even if you have one day in Antwerp, this should be on your list. Just plan it in the first half of the day because it closes at 5 p.m. I quite liked the look and feel of the place, right from the entrance. Helpful staff.
If you only have one day in Antwerp, this museum is worth your time. The staffs were really professional, helpful and friendly. They know how to do customer satisfaction in the whole level. The collection is super complete. One hour is not enough for extensive visit. You need at least one hour.
Very wonderful insights into the life of a 16th century Belgian business family. Beautifully preserved manuscripts, home and a lovely walled garden. Small but nice gift shop, where the clerk gave us restaurant recommendations.
Didn't necessarily think I would enjoy this, but it was raining, so I went. Turned out to be very cool. The history here was interesting, and the wide variety of well-preserved rooms and books and whatnot kept me entertained for two hours or so. The courtyard here is quite serene assuming there aren't any tour groups hanging around.
Great exhibition of printing, with loads of practical explanations and interactive activities for the kids (of all ages). The house has retained its original feel and has superb pressed leather interiors, which are a wonder for the eye. The inside courtyard and garden feels like you are stepping into the 16th century. The staff at the museum are friendly and helpful. Another highlight is a Bible printed with Gutenberg's original lead letters dating from 1460.
