This pub is deceptively small from the outside but turns out quite big with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating felt like a beer garden in some areas and felt like a courtyard in other areas. We had our lunch here and although the place looks amazing, the food was pretty average. Most of the dish would be typical of your pub food and nothing really stands out. Would highly recommend to come for drinks but not so much for the food. Food - 5 Service - 7 Vibe - 10 Price - $$

I organised my sisters hens all the way from Perth, and I was so happy with this venue. I really struggled to find a bottomless dinner location in Melbourne, and this one turned out to be perfect. We were placed in Bar Moubray and it was so stylish. I hadn’t organise a decorator but honestly I did not need to! The menus and the whole table were very aesthetic and had a beautiful theme to them which I was so happy with. The drinks menu was also AMAZING and the pastas were also incredible (especially the vodka one). We also stayed out quite late and then they moved us to the outdoor garden which was stunning with all the fairy lights. They also have some other spots around their venue which can be utilised such as the cafe themed area (which is the one I was hoping to book originally). I saw they also have bottomless brunches, and other events which I can imagine would also be incredible. I am overall stunned by the entire location, venue and the customer service from the team was impeccable. I would highly recommend!

We ventured back to The Commons for a tasty lunch but we had a bit of an issue with paying which soured the experience. As a couple of members of the dining party left early they paid for their individual dishes but when the remainder of the bill came to be settled staff claimed one of the meals had not been paid for. Despite getting the departed members to send text messages of receipts to produce staff still weren’t satisfied. The issue was clearly driven by the staff marking off the paid items from the wrong persons bill but it was an unpleasant discussion where we felt accused of robbing them! Original review We visited The Commons which is the stupendous new venue from The Big Group and a reincarnation of what was previously Belgian Beer Garden. Reminiscent of The Grounds in Sydney this has a real magical fairytale vibe about it and is the ultimate summer spot. There are seemingly endless sections across the extensive grounds to explore, each space equally impressive, eclectic and quirky. I absolutely adored everything about the atmosphere and interior though the food menu is quite limited. I can only assume they are wanting to focus on drinks and a more casual offering which is disappointing as I feel they could do so much more in the eating space. I had the beef burger which was yummy and my husband had the very tasty chicken sandwich. I’d love to see them expand the food offering especially when we are allowed back in the office as this is literally a stones throw from my workplace. Overall what we experienced could not be faulted

This place makes me so happy. Service from every single team member is consistently warm and welcoming, even when they are super busy. Christmas in July theme is joyful and the interiors have a surprise in every space. I’m not a big returner to restaurants and I’m here every week since “discovering” it.
