I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. However, I found the waiting time for the food to be quite long, which was a bit disappointing. As for the food itself, it was decent overall, but the dish with calamari turned out to be too salty for my taste. Despite these issues, I see potential in this place and am willing to give it another try in the future.

From ambience to flavour of food, doju was a big hit. The service was great, timing to each dish wasn't too long which was good and the food tasted as good as it looked on all dishes!!

Doju Dinner at the recently opened @doju.melbourne - a most interesting and delicious fusion of Korean and western flavours! We went with a la carte rather than the tasting menu, and everything was amazing 😍😍. Delicious cocktails too! There was some inexperience with some of the servers, but I'm sure they will improve with time, especially since they've only been open for a week! . Snacks: Salted calamari, seasoned rice, sorrel, geraldton wax Retired dairy cow beef, bugak, desert lime, dill emulsion: this was an explosion of flavours! So good 😊😊😊. Gochujang sourdough, zucchini dip: loved this bread! . Small dishes: Burnt leek, chicken skin crisp, cashew cream, brown butter LA galbi (MS5), horseradish, shitake mushroom, chive kimchi: incredible! . Large dishes: Grilled market fish (snapper), mussel, seaweed juk, house pickle, sea herbs: so perfectly done 😍😍. Ganjang braised kohlrabi, chard, makjang, oyster mushroom: the kohlrabi was a bit on the salty side, but still had great flavours 😊😊. . Desserts: Chocolate cigar, coffee mascarpone, cherry jam, gochugaru ash Injeolmi ice cream, candied walnut, yoghurt mousse, rhubarb chung

Great experience at Doju the other day! Love the combination of Korean & Australian cuisine. LA galbi, beef tartare - must try. Absolutely loved all of our dishes from start to finish.
