Enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance. A surprising amount of chill people with good vibes. DJ was amazing and friendly. Not to mention the yummy bar food and cozy seating. Did I mention live music? Cause that was awesome too you know! Definitely a place to visit with the friends, family, gamer buddies, gym pals, book club, mommies trying to get relaxation for just a one second...you get the picture :))
This place was super cool! Their cocktails are pretty darn stiff 🤣 not that that's necessarily a bad thing. The atmosphere by the bar was very cool. They have all of these hanging decorations with a light projector behind it to cast all of these moving shapes on the walls. It was fairly packed but there's also a couch section with some pool tables, and a shuffleboard table. They also have a separate area for dancing with 2 separate DJs (usually) and 2 separate bars in each area. Don't be turned off by the entrance to this place, it is extremely upscale once you get downstairs into the actual club.
Extremely cool and mysterious bar/venue. I attended for Odd Future Friday and I would LOVE to see that event happen again! My only complaint is that it's SO dark and I kept needing to be aware for my surroundings and bag because I didn't feel confident to trust people around me but otherwise the music was great, decor different!, drinks refreshing, and next time I'll be back to play some billiardsl 👀
Went here for the 1st time the other night to see Local H and was very impressed by the Valley Bar! Such a cool atmosphere and decor, the drinks were super reasonably priced and delicious, plus their donuts are SO good! Can't wait to go back!
Update! I'm angry that I will never be able to attend Bar Flies again as they are now requiring the Covid shots. Hoping that the management will change their tyrannical policy! From 3 years ago when I gave it 4 stars: We went for the monthly Barflies program. The place is hard to find! Address is Central Ave, but the entrance is next to the dumpsters in the alley. Felt like an old speakeasy. It's underground and the staircase down is poorly lit. In fact, that's my main complaint - the whole place is really dark. The moving shadow screen above the bar is really cool though. Good happy hour. Program was wonderful, but folding chairs aren't the comfiest. Will definitely return though.
