I wanted to go and check it out for awhile. The t-bone had tons of fat and was well done. I requested medium well, but had a good flavor. I loved the potatoes and asparagus was alright. I had more of a problem with an employee talking to someone in front of me for a long time that he apparently knew and I had to ask if I could please order. They were discussing work and I had waited awhile. There was a girl that was not not my server, but she was way more attentive to what I needed at the bar. She made it where I want to try the another dish. She explained to me it was very good. So I will give it another try in the future.
Stopped in for a late lunch and even though there was not much traffic, we had a fantastic meal. My wife frequents this restaurant, but id never been. The "Catch of the day" tacos were wonderful. It was yellow snapper this particular day. The maple fried chicken is my wife's go to, and she loved it as usual. Nice big bar, and a very open place. Def recommend.
Great place. Just as good as the original in Hattiesburg. Great atmosphere. Great for a drink or a bite to eat. The food is "southern chic" in influence. Classics like shrimp and grits or something a little different like a bison burger. All our appetizers were great. Definitely recommend 44 for a great old fashioned. Great service. All around great experience.
Thia is a great place for vacationers. The variety is excellent. Chicken and waffles reminded me of Roscoe's! Amazing service
This restaurant is a toss up, I say it in the best sense possible. When it is good it is absolutely perfect: great service, delicious food, amazing experience. They are not consistent with their food, seldomly their food is under seasoned, and overcooked. I'd stick to the specials and the pea appetizer (a gift from the food gods), and when in doubt, ask your server, they'll know what the restaurant does best.
