Very enjoyable afternoon learning about LBJ and Lady Bird. It was nice to spend an afternoon in the air conditioning rather than out in the heat of the day. I wish they would have had easier access to bathroom, had to trek my little one up and down the stairs three times. Highly recommend. Also we just happened to go on a Tuesday and got 50% off admission.

Beautiful space and with scheduled ticket times it’s actually BETTER with the process of pacing and spacing that has developed from pandemic constraints. You’ll learn about LBJ *and* Lady Bird. There was a temporary exhibit upstairs as well, featuring Mohammad Ali. I’d probably suggest you give yourself 90 minutes and my thinking is that children under 8 or 9 might not find enough engaging materials... but !hey! treat yourself to a date with your partner, gather some friends and make it part of a cultural/history exploration day, or for my true Presidential Library Fans... go alone! A few interesting products in the gift shop...

I'm a big fan of museums and I'm also working to visit all of the Presidential Museums. I stopped by the LBJ Presidential Library before heading home to Colorado after working in Austin for a few days. Parking was a bit confusing and I don't know if I was supposed to pay or not. But, I parked out front and had no issues. The admission is $13, but you need to purchase online in advance. I showed up without a ticket and was turned away. It wasn't a busy place so I was able to get a ticket easily. The building outside is depressing and boring. Inside is fairly basic, but is a fitting and solid tribute to the President. A guide greeted me right after I walked in and was a pleasant, smiling promoter of the museum and all things President Johnson. Very knowledgeable and kind. She offered to take several pictures and told stories as I walked around. Left me to myself after awhile, but was a positive impression. I love to see the Oval Office, the history behind our presidents, and all of the challenges the world presented at the time. Overall a good presidntial museum, a pleasant tour, and fun visit for me. There's a decent, but small gift shop as you leave.

I went on Juneteenth holiday so entry was free but I think it is normally 13 bucks. Should take around 75-120 minutes to go through the museum and gift shop. LBJ is one of my favorite presidents and we had a lot of fun visiting.

Museum offers an interesting and detailed insight into one of America's most fascinating eras, through the story of Johnson's way to the White House. Loved the Lady Bird exhibition too. Highly recommended. Spent a total of 1.5 - 2 hours. On Tuesdays tickets are half off!
