Before we took out trip to Nashville, my husband was checking out the best places to eat Nashville hot chicken. Of course everyone said Hattie B's is the best. The first day we were in town we picked up some for lunch and boy it did not disappoint. I had the chicken sandwich (the spicy pickles made this sandwich even better ) he had a full meal with southern greens and okra. We also had the banana pudding. It was one of the best I've ever tasted. It was so good my husband said,"did you know we can have this shipped to our house?!" I fully expect that he will have Hattie B's shipped to our home as soon as we are back from vacation

Wow! This place is phenomenal! I had the mild chicken sandwich with pimento Mac and cheese and it's the best chicken sandwich I've ever had! We are from TX and I'll be missing this food from our trip when we get back home! The chicken pieces are HUGE! My husband got the large dark in hot (he quickly wished he had got the medium but it was tolerable) and barely could finish it all with the 2 sides. All the sides are great but that Mac and cheese is fantastic! No wonder this place is so highly rated! We stopped on a whim driving by and it did not disappoint!

It’s the best hot chicken. It never disappoints and is the real deal. Everywhere else tries, but they can’t even compete in any way. I’ve tried all the places in Nashville and Hattie’s is the best, Princes is a close second. Nowhere else is really any good. Even if they have good chicken, their fries are usually soggy, Hattie’s are even still crispy if you bring them home, and the sides can’t compete with Hattie’s. The portions of sides are small so you may need to order extra depending on how hungry you are. The standard is good enough for me and my family.

Their name describes aptly what you’re in for- spicy fried chicken in various degrees of spice. I had the hot and it was REALLY HOT! There’s one or two levels above that and I would not recommend them unless you can stand intense heat. If you don’t mind your food on the greasier side, this is the place for you. Expect a long wait though as this is a popular place. Parking can get a bit tight on the weekends. TIP: Order just the chicken without the bread. It's a little spicier but healthier. You can pat down the excess oil with a paper napkin.

Stopped by here along my I-40 road trip & was thoroughly happy I did! Food & cashier were great. We got a medium-spicy leg quarter, wing, & strip--all fried to perfection, although surprisingly spicy for medium. Only missing a star because their online ordering wouldn't work & we called 4 times & couldn't get through to place an order & once we placed in person, it took a bit to get to us. But, the staff were def doing the best they could, just make sure you have a little time to wait, as it is worth it!
