Great selection of fresh high-quality food at decent prices - so glad Gus's came to Mission Bay! That said, shopping here is not an enjoyable experience - aisles are tiny and lines can reach the back of the store. Worse, workers restock during all hours and have no concern for the people actually trying to buy things. Boxes block items and workers pushing hand trucks act annoyed that customers are in their way. Seems like doing more restocking during non-business hours would be a sensible solution. Otherwise, keep up the good work!

The BEST neighborhood grocer you could hope for - fresh produce, good selection of meats, cheeses, wines and beers and exceptionally friendly staff. What I like most about this place is that it cuts out the noise - they only stock high-quality items so I can be more efficient while shopping since there are fewer choices. The live food station has plentiful options and is a good money-saver for a quick lunch.

Great quality and diversity of produce. The meat and seafood selection is really top tier. Very clean. The staff is friendly and competent. The only bummer is that they used to let you walk in with your dog but someone who obviously hates dogs complained and now it is discouraged. That person probably hates their life so they need to take it out on everyone else. They are on the same level as BBQ Becky imo...

I've been to this market a few times, and I've enjoyed everything about it so far. However, today I decided to try out the cafe, and I was really disappointed. First of all, the barista was standing right in front of me, but tried her best to ignore me. After about a minute of awkward silence I just tell her what I want, the coconut cowboy, and she rings it up. I asked her if it was dairy free and she said "uhhh yeah". So I sit down and she starts making my drink. She opens the fridge, pulls out the cold brew, coconut water, and whipped cream. Not the coconut whipped cream from the menu, but the real stuff. She keeps glancing at me, and then finally asks it I want it or not. I say no, so she just hands me my cold brew with a splash of coconut water. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience.
