By far one of the best coffee shops in the whole entire city! I’ve tried a lot of different coffee shops I don’t want to sit here and bash them in anyway however Dayglow speaks volumes. Extremely simple menu and the focus on perfecting each cup of coffee rather than offering sugar-based drinks that are terrible in taste. If you’re looking for a specialty coffee place this is the best place you’re going to find in town. However if you are looking for a replica to Starbucks then stay away. Also it should be noted they have some of the best imported whole coffee beans you can find in the Chicagoland area. At a very exceptional price!

This last Sunday the 21st we stopped by and got there before 8am so had to wait after 805 when the lady inside opened the door. She did not seem too happy at first ( I understand it was early in the morning) I did not like that the menu is under a thick plastic that you can barely see in it since it shines right back. The lady then did answer the questions about the coffee and made some recommendations so we got two made and a pastry to go. The place looks clean and it has a good location since it is where I run by most days, the 606 trail.

In all fairness the cappuccino I ordered was great and was prepared perfectly. Unfortunately, the customer engagement and ordering process was extremely uncomfortable. Upon entering I was the only customer in the store. I was genuinely curious about the establishment as a first-time customer, but was met with condescension throughout the interaction from the 2 staff members present. the menu was not visible until I asked where it was and they just pointed at a small, barely readable plexiglass square on the counter. I was understandably confused as to why a cup of black coffee was between $6 and $8 dollars while a cappuccino was less than $5. Although, I understand there must be more reasoning behind the huge cost the only answer I received was an uninterested/bored response "we have to import it from different countries".......so just like all coffee in the continental U.S.??? thanks. I truly hope the staff were just having a bad or off day and this is not how business is regularly conducted here. Although the product quality was very good I do not think I will be returning to this cold establishment.

Loved it. Delicious coffee, perfect for a stop along the 606. Will go again.

Trendy little coffee shop along the 606. They serve delicious coffee and sell beans from a bunch of Scandinavian roasters.
