Wonderful park to take a long stroll. West Seattle is a great area to visit, because you feel like you're getting away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Seattle. Families come and have a picnic or hangout on the grass. It's a wonderful area. Parking is plentiful with cute restaurants walking distance.

Beautiful!! Wonderful shops, scenery, and real estate. Always something to see, either on the sidewalk by the community, or the walkways by the water. The beach was calm but enough waves for the quintessential ocean sounds. Ampersand was our favorite hole in the wall cafe with fun coffee options, and delectable steamers and treats, including not too big cinnamon rolls! We rode the electric bikes, skipped rocks on the water, and enjoyed learning about racing canoes. We even tried a fruit from a strawberry tree! Not poisonous 😉 The beautiful home that is a mini wildlife conservation, had a rain water drinking fountain for you and a bowl for your dog. Great views of the harbor and parts of Seattle as well. Great beach to get away from the noise, but a cute little ferry to get you back too. One of our favorite Seattle beaches!

This is a very popular beach. There are cafes, bars and restaurants across the street. There is a multi-use path that follows Alki Ave. Be careful with young children as the beach slopes quickly and the water is cold. There are picnic tables and volleyball courts and places to put in kayaks and paddle boards. Bikes and 4 wheeled carts are available to rent across the street. So much fun in the summer but also on sunny weekends even in the winter.

We took the ferry over to Alki Beach. The trip over was nice and scenic. Then you take a free shuttle bus that takes you to the beach There are various shops and restaurants along the street where the bus let's you off. Cross the street and your at the beach. We walked along the shoreline and observed the wildlife. When you're ready to return the free shuttle stops on the same street you arrived on and takes you back to the ferry.

Very large shoreline with a multitude of activities happening! People were swimming, playing volleyball, laying out in the sun, chatting and hanging out. lots of parking along the beach but on a nice day it can fill up so you may have to walk a bit!
