Lovely atmosphere. I haven:t been in ages, this visit was different. Music not so loud, easy to talk, not so busy (Thursday night). Food great. Cheers.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food but terrible service. 6 of us went for Sunday lunch, one starter arrived, 10 mins later 2 mains arrived, followed by the other 2 starters. Half an hour later we were still waiting for the remaining 4 mains, after chasing them up they eventually arrived. No apologies and wouldn't offer any compensation. Won't be rushing back.
Just an average boozer on my view. Food I did not feel was the best. I ordered a steak sandwich and it was undercooked as they did not ask how I wanted it. Also portion size I feel was lacking. Staff are nice and helpful. Bar is also very sparse as if it a spare attic room that been done out with a pump under the bar.
I was once a regular many years ago so when I was back in the old manor I took the opportunity to visit one of my old haunts really hoping it was still as good as I remembered... I certainly wasn’t disappointed. The bar still has a great feel, I only had a starter as a snack but that was good and all the staff where super friendly and nice. I need to venture east more often, well done guys!
One of the good pubs out in the east end. Great beers but not much seating outside for when it is sunny. It's recommended to visit however the food wasn't tried at this establishment. The staff were polite and helpful when selecting a beer. Tasters were given.
