Came specifically for the Titanic exhibition which was a fascinating insight from the perspective of Liverpool as a city. The exhibit gave wider context to the city’s social and economic history, which nicely set up the specific impact of the Titanic disaster on the city. On my next visit to Liverpool I would love to explore what else the museum has to offer. Sounds like the other sections are just as interesting.

This is a free museum and worth a visit for a couple of hours. If you are interested in maritime history then I am sure that you could happily wander about this place for longer. There is currently an exhibition about the Titanic. Having been to the exhibition in Belfast I found this a bit underwhelming but if you haven't already seen this then definitely give it a visit.

A fascinating showcase British maritime history. Lots to see and experience here. Love the models, the artifacts and the stories. The information about the Lusitania, Mauritania and other great ships was touching as my great great grandfather worked at the shipyard in Birkenhead during the time the Mauritania was built. The museum is free to enter and has good amenities. A great way to spend a few hours at the Albert Dock

Positioned alongside the famous Albert Dick this is a magnificent museum, full of artefacts, images, sounds and stories. It is both informative and atmospheric and appeals to the first time visitor and regular returner alike. You could spend a full day here and still not see all it has to offer.

Absolutely brilliant place to learn a lot about local and national maritime history with excellent displays and explanations. The Titanic and Lusitania exhibitions are fantastic. Children would find the whole exhibition a wonderful experience. Most amazing thing is that this and the Slavery museum (another excellent exhibition) are free but do have donation boxes.
