Absolutely beautiful castle in a tranquil setting. Brilliant morning out with the family. Don't skip the tea rooms, the hot chocolate is epic!

Nice walk, but badly sign posted. Great area for nature watching. Castle only open in July and August, but not sure if that's even every day. Not near any carparks no disabled access so not for anyone who can't walk a few miles.

A good walk from the nearest car park, well worth it though, plenty of wildlife around castle, so remember binoculars.

Nice walk across open fields to reach this place. Ground was nice and firm even though it's late February. Lookout for a kingfisher too.

A lovely little castle to visit, only rarely open, check website for more information, but you can walk round the outside all year round, takes about a 20 minute walk through the fields to get there so wheelchair access might be a struggle, other than that what a wonderful place to visit
