Marshalls Row, Brighton, Brighton and Hove BN1 4JU, UK
Not some over-artisan fashion-food market but an honest local trader experience. Friendly, fun and varied. Had one of the best sausage rolls of my life, tried some amazing garlic hummus and a fantastic samosa. Interesting old CDs and games, books and clothing too. This isn't a huge full-on bustling tourists market bursting at the seams with products, but it's perfect for locals.
Great selection of local produce + tasty food. Bustling atmosphere with some clothes stalls and florists/plant shops. Great to visit if you want something for lunch other than just a sandwich. Some things can be a little pricey but it is the centre of Brighton.
Really quirky little place. I often end up here for work related training and I love having a look around once here! I love the mix of fresh foods and handmade crafts. Such a relaxed environment with friendly people. Would love to see more of the space used maybe a live event would bring more people... Or maybe I just miss all the fun being an out of towner.
Bumbling with a lovely atmosphere and lots of unique local stores :) great improvement to the old Open Market and a lot of lovely fresh fruit/veg/food stands during the day.. Sometimes there's a table tennis table set up too and also little flea Market stands! Very recommendable for a tastey appropriately priced lunch :)
A few of the units weren't open while we were there. Interesting mix of friendly cafes, stalls selling new and vintage. The free-to-use table tennis tables are fun.
