If you love trees and flowers and fields and more space than you or your dogs know what do do with(except on Sundays), the here is where its at yo! Its got a dam, lots of little ponds with ducks and geese and some of the trees are labeled with their species and/or genus name. Lots of running trails, great for a morning jog and its an awesome place to sit and chill on a bench by the pond with ducks all around on a cloudy, overcast day!🙌😁✌
Spent new years day at Johannesburg Botanical Gardens. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful atmosphere. Lots of visitors but still nice peaceful crowed. Highly recommend for a lovely picnic out with the family.
Always a pleasure to visit. Gardens are wonderfully well kept and regular changes are made to accommodate visitors. Rose garden is the highlight of every visit. All roses are well marked and informative. Maybe just a suggestion: not all trees are “labeled”, would love to see which trees are which.
More the feeling of a large park than a garden really. Not a great selection, very few plants marked or general information available. Feels a little run-down with statues missing, water-features not functioning and the same plants repeated in different sections of the garden. The best way to enjoy these gardens is by packing a picnic basket and enjoying it somewhere in the shade or on the (well-kept) lawns.
Johannesburg Botanical Garden is onebof the most beautiful place in South Africa. You Will love to see the nature is hugging with all It's blossoms... The beautiful streets looks so charming and i love to have a walk on the street. If you visit Johannesburg, you must not miss the chance to roam around this beautiful place.
