Chateau Belaire, St Lucia
It was cloudy and still worth the small hike to view it. The $10 entrance fee almost kept us from going with our 4 kids, but 12 & under were $5 and our 4 year old twins were free! Totally worth it. J.R. was our guide and was incredibly knowledgeable about the plants and history and was super helpful taking pictures (he likes to take them on a diagonal). This was worth our time and I highly recommend it on your stop.
This local farm has a wonderful nature trail for incredible views of St. Lucia and interesting plants. The guides are knowledgeable and took some awesome pictures for us. Really enjoyed this easy hike with the locals.
This locally owned and operated nature trail boasts the best views in St. Lucia. It's the perfectly paced hike with bits of history along the way. Be sure to have one of the coffee milkshakes at the little eatery. Sooo good!
The views on this trail are spectacular!! We had a great guide, Mario! Fantastic job pointing out interesting botanical facts and nature points! I highly recommend it! Mario is also very creative with photography poses!!
This is a good alternative to the (much more strenuous) Gros Piton hike, offering excellent views at the top. The (required) guide was a lot of fun, and knew a lot about the local plants and history. Only criticism is that entry seems a little expensive at $10 US each, although I would recommend bringing a few extra dollars to buy a 'Piton' beer at the lookout point on the ridge -- seems like the perfect place to enjoy this locally brewed beer.
