2460 Alcobaça, Portugal
Not the best medieval fairs at all. I expected more for a location that is so important for the Portuguese people. It is true that the street theater was animated by the baker, who dressed a very well-acted comic character and followed me, drawing my attention whenever I passed by. but others existed that were not even noticed. about the battles, I even feared that the actors would hurt each other which was not the level of lack of coordination. Aljubarrota urgently needs an organized group that trains every year for what could turn out to be one of the busiest and liveliest fairs in Portugal, even without major points of visit at a historical level.
It is worth seeing the re-enactments of the battles.
