cuadra S/n, Calle General Borgoño 8, Miraflores 15074, Peru
Fantastic place to visit. Guided tour (included in the price) in English with a guide who spoke excellently and explained the site very well. There are placards about with English translation but the guide helped provide more in-depth context. Tour lasts about 45 min. There is also an on-site garden and minifarm (llamas!! alpacas!! Guinea pigs!) to indicate the type of food grown at the temple’s heyday and animals relied upon.
Excellent tourist place to visit. Very cool ancient book-style architecture that for once in Peru isn’t Incan. Much of this is restored versus original however the relatively cheap entrance fee (20 soles) combined with a free English or Spanish tour guide makes it well worth the visit. Tour takes less than an hour and you get to see some llamas and alpacas, so what more can you ask for?
Pretty cool site in the middle of Lima! We walked here from Miraflores. This site is supposed to be the best one in the city. There is a free guided tour with guides that lead English or Spanish speakers. Pretty amazing that this was used as a trash heap until the 80s when they discovered the temple beneath the earth. Make sure to tip your tour guide. We have ours $10 for the two of us. Great way to fill your morning before heading to the main square.
Better than expected. It's about $5/pp to enter and get an hour tour. There is also an area of plants and animals relevant to the Limas who built the structure. Nice views of the surrounding area and interesting. There was a restaurant right at the ruins but I didn't try it.
Very interesting. The guide was great. You can't go alone and must be with the guide. You have to ask for tour times and also don't go to the main entrance by the restaurant. The entrance is like 4 blocks away from there
