Kotor, Montenegro
Rooms are old, tiny and dirty. Bathroom was in bad shape. Rooms were not cleaned daily. Our window door can not be locked and thay caused noise. Breakfast included only one cup of coffee. But location was great.
Even though the ocean is just a stroll away the shrimps weren't fresh. The next day I had to stay close to a toilet though. It might have been an honest mistake but the check with services so conveniently calculated by the the waiter was 10 euros higher then actually consumed. After complaining about it the money was returned without issues. The hotel was overbooked but they have appartments opposite to the square which are completely run down/broken and it wasn't cleaned. You have to make your own (double) bed with double sheets and single size blanket with burning holes.
Room not very clean, broken light switches and lamp shades, uncomfortable beds, Cleaners tried to come into our room at 9am. Breakfast not great!
The staff was very friendly and kind! Our room was quite small, but I think that is what you get if you want to stay in the middle of the beautiful old town.
Great location in the old town and reasonably priced rooms. Small, not surprisingly, as they are a modern fit out of a mediaeval building. Air con works a treat. Wonderful to just be able to wander out into Kotor early in the morning, or late at night, and have it to yourself. Restaurant food was reasonable without being exceptional.
