This crypt is one of the few places in the world where you will see human remains transformed into beautiful art. It is unique and definitely worth visiting. 10 years ago you could just walk in, see the crypt, and give whatever donation you felt appropriate. Few people knew about it, so it was not crowded. Now they have transformed the site into a much better publicized museum that you have to walk through to get to the crypt. They charge an admission price that is a bit steep (8.5 euros) for what it is, and the halls are packed with tour groups. Still, definitely worth a visit.
I honestly thought there wouldn't be anywhere spookier than the Paris Catacombs, but this place is way eerier because it's not just human bones, but ornate patterns and art made from human bones. Possibly my new favorite place on the planet.
Amazing architecture near Barberini sculpture!!
Lovely church, that one might easily overlook from outside. It was raining and I was in hurry, trying to find shelter from rain. I have completely missed the crypt, the key attraction.
Beautiful church with a few great paintings!
