Corso Unità d'Italia, 40, 10126 Torino TO, Italy
Have visited this place 3 times and each time I have come out happier and with something new. The history of cars is fascinating to learn while the ground floor has a display of cars or concept cars that keep changing. You will find some amazing cars and stories here. If you visit Turin, don’t miss out on this place.
We were very impressed by this museum, it extends three floors and you are able to see most cars up close, they're not packed as tightly together as other car museums I have been to. There are large toilets available inside after you pay and enter. You have to leave your bag behind in a locker which takes 1 euro coin, you'll get it back when you unlock it. There was parking nearby, the entrance was wheelchair accessible, I do not remember if they had an elevator, but I'm sure they do, considering everything else was to such great standards. There is also a small cafe and a gift shop.
The best automobile museum I’ve been to. Wonderfully curated, and brings context to the idea of the “car” through the years: from its inception to its significance in our modern life, pop culture, innovation and its future. Inspiring, and leaves you feeling enlightened somehow.
One of the best museums I have ever seen. Despite the face, that I know nothing about cars, I was really engaged in the excursion, because all the exhibits are interactive. For sure you will enjoy it as well no matter about your knowledge about cars. For children that place is also suitable, because you can touch everything there, so you don't need to worry that they can brake the rules of the museum.
Unbalanced. Good at the early evolution of the car up to the 1940s but then lacking in international scope. Great if you like Fiats. Big gaps in the coverage of more recent times when it is very Italian centred. The good again at post 2000 concepts. If it is one or the other, then go to the Egyptian museum. That one IS truly world class.
