The entrance fee is about 5 euros. There is no cloak room but if you have bags or need to leave something, you can do so at the cash register. They're really friendly and helpful. There are about 280 stairs and there are no toilet facilities so plan your climb accordingly. The climb isn't too demanding but some people had problems reaching the top. The view and the the trees at the top are well worth the climb so I suggest you go ahead and do it.

This was very interesting. The climb is pretty straightforward on a sturdy staircase. The trees at the top are very different and excellent views of Lucca and the mountains

Really nice experience, we went in the early evening and it was beautiful! Only bad thing to say is there was so many people at the top it was a little hard to move! They could do with having a direction of movement sign to move the flow of people in the right way! But really lovely and recommend!

Amazing view of Lucca. A must visit to get a panoramic view of the city only 5 euros entrance fee per person. No lifts and no toilettes only steps to get you to the top.

I enjoyed this climb to the top. Especially when reaching the metal half of the stairs and everyone's footsteps became a percussion rhythm for the remainder to the top. The view was good also.
