Jl. Margo Mulyo No.16, Ngupasan, Kec. Gondomanan, Kota Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 55122, Indonesia
A legendary traditional market in Yogyakarta. The government has done a great job keeping this traditional market safe and clean. Despite all of the other modern shops around the area, this traditional market is still going strong. This is still one of the must-go places for tourists who go to Yogyakarta. Please keep it clean.
It's strangely fun to go into, this place have so much personality if that makes sense, you can see people sells all sort of stuff, from questionable second hand phone, motorcycle part (That I'm sure comes from a stolen vehicle), antique money and decoration, fake Gucci and Coach, and even pneumatic gun and SWAT helmet. If you want to come, go here somewhere between 5 - 7 PM, don't go any later (because its crowded and dangerous) or sooner (because the store is not yet open) and also please don't come here alone and don't bring too much item, and remember to enjoy the experience even if you don't buy anything.
Great place for clothes, trinkets and all other sorts of gifts. Busy most of the time but, definitely worth looking in there, food stalls are good and tasty. Can buy many different fabrics and clothes, great place if you want to get anything to do with clothes or face masks etc
Beringharjo is one of the living treasures of Yogyakarta, you can practically find a lot of clothing especially batik vendors inside. Prices are very affordable, you can do some bargaining with the sellers to get the price that suits you. The local sellers are very friendly. It was bustling since early morning but you can find many traditional goods at the clean market space.
Sprawling huge local market that sellers virtually everything. Huge batik section and once inside there are several levels to explore. There is a section serving cooked food, fresh vegetables, raw meat, fresh fish and poultry. Preserved goods and fried goods. Plenty to explore.
