As a Nias local airport, I'm not very satisfied with the cleanliness. They should have a toilet inside the waiting room. The public transportation are plenty through renting cars (Rp. 600k at minimum for a full day trip). Not all of the drivers are well informed, FYI. I have to pay Rp 40k to go to the capital city, Gunungsitoli.

It's a small airport with mininalist and modern design in Nias theme (yellow, black and red nuance). It's about 30 to 45 minutes from Gunung Sitoli (main city in Nias) and 2 - 2.5 hours from Teluk Dalam (where we can find lompat batu and well known surfing place). They have 3 airlines i.e whom operated here in Binaka : Citilink, Wings (Nias - Medan; Padang - Nias), Garuda Airlines (Jakarta - Nias). They also have small airlines with route from Binaka - Telo islands twice a week (worth to try, Telo islands well known with their beautiful beaches). They have public facilities like cafetaria, musholla/ mosque, car parking area, etc.

Small airport in Nias. New terminal building. Basic service. 737 600 can land n take off but mostly they use atr 72. Welcome to beutiful Nias. All slower here...
