Quick but fun stop on your journey through Iceland. Fun to straddle the continental divide and say you were in North America and Europe at the same time. Also fun to say you walked from one to the other. One of the only countries to be gaining land each year as the two tech-tonic plates pull apart at about 3cm a year.

Quick stop if on the way, not worth going so west only for this location but if nearby Airport or Grindavik area, why not? Educational and interesting views especially if a sunny day.

Where else can you be and stand on euroasia and north american tectonic plates. Read the sign, go under bridge and pretend to hold up the bridge, it was a lot off fun
