Lanap Aqqutaa, Nanortalik, Greenland
Favorite museum in Greenland! A wide variety of interesting buildings, displays and information. Well worth the time and money. We walked from the dock through town, past the church, and down to the open air museum. There is a small restroom by the gift shop. Gift shop also has a variety of books that are in English along with other items. Highly recommended!
Wonderful and meticulously-curated museum consisting of buildings, displays, and objects relating to Greenlandic life with an emphasis on the local area. The care and appreciation for the heritage and history is very evident. The surroundings are breathtaking, awe-inspiring, and one can explore at one's pace. It is worth noting that there is a selected quantity of very interesting books/souvenirs available for sale, the museum does take international credit cards, and the entry fee is very reasonable. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and accommodating. A definite must if one is in the area.
