Join us on an exhilarating mountain adventure on the world’s northernmost via ferrata in the town of Mosjøen, and for an incredible adrenaline rush, soar down a spectacular 700-meter zip-line!
Via ferrata means iron path. Clip yourself onto the cable that is securely attached to the mountainside, and ascend safely using the natural holds and steps in the rock. This mountain climbing adventure doesn’t require any special knowledge or prior experience. The route is classified as B/C, easy to moderately difficult, making it a fun and exciting way to climb a mountain that is within most people’s reach.
Øyfjellet awaits you just outside Mosjøen town center. The first part of our journey climbs the newly-built sherpa path, up to the narrow Trongskaret Pass. The via ferrata itself starts at 350 meters. Here we connect your harness to the first stretch of cable. After a while, we reach a viewpoint, where we unpack our lunch and savor the incredible panorama of Mosjøen and its surroundings. The second stretch of the via ferrata takes us to the summit, 660 meters.
We invite you to conclude your mountain adventure by soaring down Storfjellet on our zip line. It’s a guaranteed adrenaline rush. Your flight down the 700-meter long zip line takes you across the river and lands you safely in the gardens of the Fru Haugans Hotel. This hotel, the oldest in northern Norway, is situated at the end of the historic Sjøgata Street, renowned for its well-preserved wooden houses. All in all, this is a day of memorable adventures.
