This the most popular market to buy a souvenir once you touched down to Saigon. A lot of foods, bags, clothes and etc that you can find over there. But more carefully while you walking on this area especially please and please be careful with your belonging. Strictly advices to people that if you wanna dealing to the seller with some things, once they bring out their calculator, you may never move away from them. As people said, you touch you deal you MUST buy. This is what my friends and me faced. Hmm

Ben Thanh Market is definitely a must see for your cultural experiences. Abundance to choose from that you'll be spoil with choices. Prepare to pull out your best haggling scripts as that's how you get the bargain. Variety of local fruit to try out that sure to delight you. There is plenty of food stalls that will be like Sirens of sea nymphs that present you menus of food and beverages. Sit down and rest the legs and enjoy the authentic Vietnamese Market food. Can't vouch for the toilets. But it's a wet market so it is what it is. But it a must see if you are in HCMC.

Cool market, inside area is open during the day and there is an outside area open at night. Inside has a variety of typical Vietnamese crafts, fruits/vegetables/coffee, clothing, restaurants, drink bars, and a fixed-price area for no-haggle items of good quality. Particularly nice art section in the no bargaining area. Hagglers are very persuasive so be prepared to walk away and stick to your prices of what you're comfortable paying. Inside market closes 6-ish

Nice & clean market place. Definitely something to visit if you’re new to HCMC. It’s a trap for tourists of course but I must say quite a few locals come here because it’s just got everything you might look for. Most of us spend time in the food section or wet market though. Great place to find fabric and sewing materials if that’s what you’re looking for! Whenever I go home, I usually visit this market to grab a quick bite or grab fabric for the tailor’s (super cheap). Make sure to bargain though!

Cheap and good stuff but you must cut the prices in half in the inner market with the small shops owners. The outer round of shop is fixed price and run by a company so the sale staff in the shop cannot give you discounts, they are just sale assistants. The food hawkers sell a variety of food and some shops are run by same owner, all in all the food are cheap and good. Good place to get food and shop.
