The volunteers who work there are very informative. There is a very rich history attached to Destin that it is a pleasure to learn about. They have some small activities for children so it is a potential place to take small ones on a rainy day. Keep in mind it is a small building so a large group of children would not be as easily accommodated.
Worth the stop if you're interested in the history of the area and you are visiting on vacation. the volunteer workers are very pleasant and most eager to tell you about their history!
Wasn't that far to walk to each exhibit and enjoyed the interaction time with the animals was not costly the crew is very helpful and knowledgeable was also on the beach a plus love this place and would be back again 🥰
Great place to learn about the history of Destin. I would give it 5 stars but it seems a little crowded.
Kathy was fantastic!!! More than a fishing museum. Great early history of Destin. A huge collection of artifacts in a compact museum. Well worth the $5.00 admission price. Ernest Hemmingway rod and reel is a very neat item. Loved the items from the Greek church as well!! Original post office was preserved perfectly.
