Outstanding zoo with incredible enclosures. Really informative on conservation and clearly playing a major role Internationally. Needed first aid assistance when a member of the family had a funny turn and staff were on hand and excellent. The food hall was good and despite being very busy, pretty efficient getting through the queues. Highlight of the visit for me was seeing the Tigers. Highly recommended day out, make sure and book in advance for discount tickets.
Have got a season ticket this year. Why I didn’t do it years ago I will never know. Just love the zoo. The staff are always happy to help and answer questions. Food in restaurants good. Plenty of picnic tables around if you want to picnic. Recommend for the whole family.
Brilliant zoo experience. You definitely need to give yourself a full day in order to get round the whole thing. Worth taking a pushchair if you have smaller children as there is a lot of walking. The animal enclosures are spacious and well maintained. We will definitely return for another visit.
Great Zoo, I came midweek and apart from many school groups visiting it was lovely and quiet, I noticed the school groups were all coming in and heading left towards the elephants, lions and chimps so I turned right and was able to explore at my leisure with basically the Zoo to myself! By the time I got to the chimps and lions all the school groups were walking around the part of the zoo I visited earlier so again I could look around in peace and get great views of the animals.
What a excellent zoo, the staff all care so much about the animals, they are also very knowledgeable about the animals in their section and they the keepers are very polite and will answer any questions you may have. The only problem is that 1 day isn't long enough to look at everything. It was a fantastic day out and its well worth a visit.10 out of 10
