Paseo de Moret, 2, 28008 Madrid, Spain
It's great Egyptian site but unfortunately it's not as I thought it would be! The water around it was dry and there was no water fountains. I went to see the site at night and missed the sunset as someone recommended to go at that time. There was many young local couples and lovers there as this area is dark and you might notice that there are also some pocket pickers so be clear of people who might come talk to you if you are alone. Some are also selling some services! If you know what I mean. Enjoy the photos.
We basically slept here all afternoon and no one bother us. Once we were awake however a lot of guys approached trying to sell us cold water. There's nice grass areas for picnics.
To get there you need to climb a little. It is worth to make some effort but don't expect nothing spectacular. You also can't walk through buildings as area is protected by security guards.
A nice change of scenery while in Madrid. The temple de Debod is within the park and the entrance was totally free though the line was super long(went around 1 pm). The park also offers a nice place to chill if you are exhausted. If you want to enter the Egyptian Temple, be sure to go early because it's totally worth the visit.
This is a very beautiful place. calmer than El retiro and better for running, exercising and walking your dogs. Also verse nice for a picnic
