Carrera de S. Jerónimo, 6, 28014 Madrid, Spain
The ham and bread alone is worth it. I dined upstairs and had the grilled pork loin, a sangria l, and the most basic level of the ham slices and bread. The ham and bread was so good. The sangria was decent, and so was the grilled pork loin. The main level tapas bar was hopping.
I liked this place from it's bar to it's bakers and butcher's then up stairs for meal. The bar is fun you feel like a local standing at the bar with your drink. The food at the restaurant was of good quality, well worth a visit
When you enter in the "museum" you will be surprised by the QUANTITY of ham hanging all around. Later, when you will pay a ridiculously cheap price for your food and beer you'll be amazed by the QUALITY of their products. It's definitely a must visit.
That one place takes it all... amazing food, super fast service and amazing low prices... there is nothing better than that... if you are in Madrid you really need to come here... I eat here everytime I'm around
Good ham and inexpensive. Waiter was funny and attentive. Main floor is busy with customers ordering tapas which is what it’s known for: quick bites and a beer. If you rather sit down and eat, then go upstairs. The paella was good, takes about 30 mins for preparation so ask for a bread basket while you wait.
