This has the most amazing kitchen you could ever imagine. The love story of Pedro and Ines is so sad and seeing their resting place and decorative tombs is a must.

Very impressive monastery, easily my favorite in the region. I would recommend paying the entrance fee to see the monastery in addition to the church which is free. Don’t miss the kitchen and the upper vestibules!

Beautiful Monastery in the city of Passion that is worth the visit! The story of the Prince and his lover is a passionate one that every should read up on before visiting this monastery! Once inside, there are beautiful views and rooms to enjoy. Straight across from the Monastery you will find Alcoa which is considered the best pastry shop in Portugal!

Impressive monastery. The main church is free of charge. It is gothic, especially as compared to the baroque churches in Portugal. Buy a ticket to see the rest of the facility. Each room has a sign giving a little information in Portuguese and English. Be prepared to take a lot of photos. There is a nice gift shop in the room which once was the only place the monks were allowed to speak.
