Such a beautiful place. The writing is in Japanese but it did not take away from anything. It was great to see all the drawings and how the process works. And we really loved the short movie we saw. A cute day out.
Magical. A must see for Ghibli fans of old and new. Its a beautiful delight for the mind full of lovely stories that show the true genius and love behind the world of Ghibli. Lots of cute little secrets and areas, special children only areas, and a film that only people who attend the museum will see. There's also a bird cafe nearby that you should visit. We didn't make it there in time. Maybe next time :)
A really good museum. Most of it is in Japanese (to be expected), as an English speaker I still enjoyed the rooms and looking at the Images. A good place to visit for those familiar with Ghibli. Bring your own snack, there is a very limited option and quite busy.
It is a magical place, decorated very beautifully with a lot of pictures of famous animated movies. The only pity that all the explanations are in Japanese only, only few in English. We asked a lady that was there with her son to explain one of the displays and got a lot of interesting information (many thanks to the young lady with her son!)
A worthwhile visit for those Ghibli fans out there. It was fascinating seeing the amount of work that goes into creating the films. However there are no photos allowed inside the buildings and if you're not very familiar with Ghibli then the museum is essentially a house with playground areas for kids and a gift shop. For those keen Ghibli fans I would say its worth a look, for others simply curious I would say there might be other activities you would find more valuable.
