Yum...yum...and YUM! Food was terrific, service was great and the draft beers were on point. Cozy restaurant with a great view of the mountains. Highly recommend if you are in the area! Burgers and Fish-and-Chips were perfect!
Outstanding lunch. The recommended stop by our tour guide who called ahead for all of us who wanted the daily fish special. What a treat. Super fresh fish. A beautiful presentation and taste with mashed potatoes, berries, and greens. The chocolate cake was so good that I started eating it before I took a picture. Stylish space. Some tables have a view of the harbour. Delightful.
Two other tables seated when we arrived and from the moment we walked in it seemed like an inconvenience. Out of three things requested (two listed on the menu and one was a standard drink) we were told they either weren’t serving or did not have the ingredients. We got a different appetizer and accommodated the alterations in drink orders graciously. The waiter literally never returned to our table to take our order for entrees and we waited for over 30 minutes. What we did get was good, but the service was not.
My family and I were staying in Iceland and had just gone whale watching nearby. We had dinner at this restaurant and were very impressed. It was the best meal we had in Iceland. We had the cod, salmon, and the beef tenderloin. All three dishes were presented elegantly and tasted amazing. If you are looking for a great place to eat in this town then this is where you want to eat.
We ate here several times over the course of a week and the food was always great. Fresh seafood and vegetables used in every dish with a nice beer selection. Prices were in line with food costs in Iceland.
