I'm not generally so fancy but we had the chance and I don't regret it! Food was great, wine pairing was great. Every course was tasty, and the staff were super friendly. If you do the seven course I'd recommend starting before 8pm... It takes many hours and the place clears out around midnight. You don't want to feel like you're holding the staff back if you paid that much!

I had the pleasure of experiencing the Moss’s 7 course menu while in Iceland, and it did not disappoint. The attention to detail in both food and presentation was calculated and expressive. I felt very fortunate for this dining opportunity, and I would highly recommend the wine pairing to go along with each course. A Sommelier delivered each wine with a description of the vineyard, and an explanation of why that particular wine was chosen. They catered to my preference for red wines as well, changing a few of them to better suit my taste. I highly recommend this experience, the food was outstanding.

Moss was definitely a highlight of our Iceland trip earlier this month! The food was delicious, prepared with great care, and the service was next to none. If you're staying at The Retreat, I highly recommend making a reservation for the chef's table! Coming from the U.S., we were used to heavier, creamier, saucier dishes and were pleasantly to find that Icelandic cuisine uses a lot of fruit and veggies to add flavor. The result: you do get full, but not in an uncomfortable way, and it's so much easier to digest. Note: We were seated at 6:30pm and didn't return to our suite until close to 10:15pm, so it's a longer meal even by tasting menu standards.

With menu focused on new Nordic cuisine, Moss presents beautiful dishes that catches the eyes and the soul. The dishes are beautifully presented without compromising the quality and taste. Service was a bit slow and they apologised by saying that they were understaffed.

Went here for chef’s tasting menu. Service was great and the food was excellent. You can see my reviews and I have visited many Michelin starred restaurants. This one is excellent and is on or with starred restaurants. Presentation is great too. Highly recommended and personally, I find about 165 usd for this meal reasonable.
