Lunch was pretty decent (schnitzel and pancake with minced pork), but overpriced with an extra side of attitude. Good coffee, but no better than other fine and friendly cafes nearby. Just take a peek at the pretty interior and move along.

Today experience was extremely disappointing in this restaurant. We never felt so ignored by a waiter before. I just simply cannot find words for their behavior. We should have left before ordering.The older bold waiter literally just threw the menu on the table, didn’t ask our drink choice and we were never offered any coffee nor desert. It’s absolutely clear how much they hate tourist. Shame they located in the city centre of Vienna.

One of the famous Viennese cafés for the ritual coffee break! Interestingly, coffee was brought to Austria during an attempted invasion by the Ottoman empire. When the Ottomans retreated, they left behind some green beans. They didn't know what to do with them. A Turkish translator then told them that it was coffee, and taught them how to brew it. However, it was too bitter for the Viennese taste. One Austrian gentleman figured out to add milk and honey to coffee. And that's how the Viennese tradition of coffee started!

Asked whether they had place for 9 on a Sunday evening, was told "no", even though it was almost empty inside. When pointing that out, the waiter (older bold man) just made an angry face. I am guessing the owner or restaurant manager wasnt around, so the staff were taking it easy that day.
