Our Recommendations

As you may have seen, we have recently visited South Wales and road tripped around! Stopping off in Ebbw Vale, Brecon Beacons and the lovely seaside town of Tenby. Big Pit National Coal Museum

Kelly:Once in a lifetime (free) experience! We got geared up with our helmets and torches and were lowered 90m into one of the most famous coal mines in the UK!

Brecon Beacons

Kelly:A must visit if you're in Wales and love hiking! One of our favourite National Parks filled with peaks, waterfalls and everything in between.

Ebbw Vale Town

Kelly:A lovely quaint town situated just South of Brecon Beacons National Park, a great place to stop over and do some local sight-seeing.

St Mary's Church, Tenby

Kelly:One of the several beautiful churches in the seaside town on Tenby.

Castle Hill

Kelly:The perfect spot to soak in the views! From here you can see the North and South beaches which are either side of the Peninsula. You also have an amazing view of St. Catherine's Island which you can see here in the photo!

Harbour Beach

Kelly:Pack a picnic, grab your sunglasses and head down to the benches by the harbour. A lovely view and plenty of places for seafood and ice-cream!

Haven Kiln Park Holiday Centre

St Catherine's Island

Kelly:This island holds an amazing WW2 fort, which you can climb the stairs and visit! If you can't make the stairs, you still have the beach and caves below to explore at low tide. Tip: the Island is only accessible at low tide - you can find the timetable at www.saintcatherinesisland.co.uk

Four Waterfalls Walk

Kelly:An amazing hike, but not for the faint hearted! 6 hours later and we had conquered all 4 waterfalls and all hikes in between! Plenty of streams, wildlife and opportunities to have a paddle.

Sgwd Yr Eira Waterfall

Kelly:The last and largest waterfall on the 4 waterfalls hike. Unlike the other 3, you can walk behind this waterfall which was absolutely incredible! If you're up for a day of hiking, then we cannot recommend this enough.
