Fascinating pieces of history brought up from the depths all over the world. The guy who actually made some of the dives was there and was very generous with his time. He showed us several pieces of eight from different wrecks and told us a few stories from their recoveries. This was probably the best $30 we spent on the island to tour the museum.

This museum really blew me away. I totally thought it was going to be an absolute cash grab, but because I am such a pirate fanatic, my husband convinced me to have us go anyway. I am so happy he did. First things first, the gift shop is amazing and there is something for everyone. There's some touristy stuff if that's what you're into and plenty of goodies for the kids, but they also have local made coaster art, authentic necklaces made from coins recovered right off the coast of St. Thomas, and books on piracy, rum, and history. The bottom half is info on ship wrecks, hurricanes, and the history of the USVI and the top half is all about pirates! Not to mention, it's all super accurate too! It's not just a regular museum, but there are tons of interactive things for kids and even adults if you feel like it! All in all, super amazing and I will be saving up for some beautiful jewelry for when I come back!

It is small inside, but very, very interesting and everyone who worked there was so nice.
