Villa Orange:In Stra along the Riviera del Brenta stands the 17th century architectural complex Villa Foscarini-Rossi. On the banks of the Brenta the noble Venetian families built important holiday homes to show their wealth and power. According to aristocratic custom, important architects including Vincenzo Scamozzi, Francesco Contini, Giuseppe Jappelli, Pietro Liberi and Domenico de Bruni were hired to give the villa prestige. After careful restoration, the villa has been opened to the public (conferences, meetings, receptions, concerts, exhibitions). Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Villa Angeli
Villa Orange:Villa Ferretti-Angeli was built in 1608 to a design by Vincenzo Scamozzi. The original gates have been preserved. Once there was an Italian garden, from the mid-1700s it was replaced by a lawn. There is a small park with a hill, winding paths and tall trees. The old vegetable garden no longer exists and so does the road to the Brenta Canal. The country house area was completed by the end of the eighteenth century with the cellars and stables; a beautiful chapel is still attached to the building. In 1945 the villa was claimed by the Allied command; in 1946 it was abandoned and regularly occupied by a few homeless families, leaving the villa in a state of total neglect and degradation. Nowadays it is home to a school with vocational training, but despite this, it remains in a state of absolute decay. Occasionally the park and some rooms of the Villa are used for cultural and sporting events.

Villa Orange:In Sambruson is located Villa Badoer Fattoretto, dating from the first half of the 18th century. It was the summer residence of the Badoer family and Baron De Chantal lived here until 1945. It is said that this charming baron was in love with Armida who lived in the villa on the other side of the canal. She was married to a nobleman who was much older than her and every time her husband left, she showed a red lamp on her windowsill to warn the baron that she stepped into her gondola and came to him. Baron De Chantal the idea that perhaps "a treasure" was hidden in the park. So he had a deep hole dug in the garden. What remains of this search is a beautiful pond with an island. The 18th century architecture is beautiful because of its simplicity. Inside are lush halls and a small museum with an interesting collection of documents, tools, old tools and instruments. The museum is open on Sunday afternoons in the months of April, May, June, September and October. Today, Cantina Fattoretto
