Ta Van, Sa Pa, Lao Cai, Vietnam
Serving food later than many other local restaurants. I had the cheapest option which was a vegetable noodle soup for 50k, it was delicious but if you have more money to spend their whole menu looks pretty good. Only note is we were told they don't sell beer or any alcohol, saw a dude upstairs drinking a beer though?
The staff doesn’t understand ANY English (and I mean basics like “vegetables”, “fries” or “salt”). My BBQ pork was undercooked as well as the fries that I ordered extra because to my surprise it turned out that the price given in the menu was just for meat alone (there was no info about this anywhere and there was no category of “sides” either). The prices are quite high compared to every other place nearby. The waitress brought the menu and forgot about us for 10 mins, we had to go get her ourselves to order. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, there are cheaper and tastier options close by.
Came for the view. The place has lovely architecture, lots of greenery and colorful butterflies flying around all the time. We ordered foods and drinks. The drinks were ok, but not cold so we asked for ice. The food was unsalted, had no taste and didn't look great. We asked for salt and pepper to make it edible. In the end I found a piece of plastic from the noodle package in my soup. Not the best image.
Sorry but 1 star is enough. Prices are higher then al the home stays in the village and it looked great. So expectations were high, but we walked off. Not 1 basic word of English and didn’t even try to help us or what so ever. Try to improve your game, more tourist are coming each day
The place i think you should visit: to drink, eat, to feel the air here. And more you should stay one night to have everything: dinner, la dao spa, and the silent night. Kkk
